Homework help.Florida assignement?
Monday, October 27th, 2008What is meant on page 31 by “….this go-for-broke state of boundless possibilities….might be leading America into an era of new limits”? Why is South Florida and Las Vegas pegged as the nation’s “fastest tanking real estate market”? What resources do the two parts of the U.S heavily depend on?
This question is about a Time Magazine article, you don’t really need the article.

Are the politics in your area turning nasty and dirtier than usual? Is it a turn off, entertaining, etc?
Sunday, October 12th, 2008(Oct. 27) - What happens in Las Vegas, stays in Las Vegas. Right? Not if you’re a politician running for the highest office in the state.
That’s what Republican Rep. Jim Gibbons, who is campaigning for governor of Nevada, has learned.
For Gibbons, Friday the 13th proved an unlucky day. That was the day when Gibbons and his campaign adviser stopped by McCormick and Schmick’s restaurant to get out of the rain and down a nightcap or two.
Somehow the two of them ended up at a table with a couple of women who were later joined by two other women, Chrissy Mazzeo and her friend Penny Puhek.
Mazzeo said she called Las Vegas police later that night and told them that Gibbons forced her up against the wall of a parking garage and threatened her after he’d made unwanted advances over drinks earlier in the restaurant bar.
The two also disagree over how much each imbibed on the evening in question. Both have claimed they each had only a couple glasses wine, etc. etc.,…

Planning to move to Las Vegas, NV?
Thursday, October 9th, 2008My husband and I are tired of living in the northeast because of the cold season. We are planning to move to Las Vegas to be close to his brother for a future collaboration of a project and at the same time relocate there. I am just curious, because I’ve heard that the school system in Las Vegas *****? How really bad it is? How come the residents themselves are discouraging us to move. My husband is a schoolteacher and we need to know how is the education system there? What are the other bad things that residents talk about their own Las Vegas. I used to live in NYC but I never dread living there. Currently, we live in CT, although we don’t think we dislike it here other than the too expensive real estate and too high electricity rates , and the extreme cold weather we still think it’s best for us to relocate to Las Vegas–urbane, lower taxes, no winters, and its opportunities. What do you think? Is Las Vegas a really a hateful place that even its own residents dread living?

Real Estate, I’m thinking of going halves with a good friend on a house in the next 6-12 months in the?
Tuesday, October 7th, 2008Las Vegas area of Summerlin and wanted to know about the SID fees of $380 each 6months for 15yrs and then it goes away, plus $35 monthly fee for the city of Summerlin.
Can I write off any of the SID fees on my taxes at the end of the yr?
Also, what’s your opinion of Summerlin, NV? It’s about 20 minutes or so from the strip area.
I currently live in a studio apt. in N. Santa Ana, CA. and I’ll never own anything decent here. Paying rent you have no leverage and it’s only going to get more expensive over the yrs. to come.
A friend of mine would only use the house in Summerlin for a getway trip, maybe once a yr. and I’d be there full-time and split the mortage with him and any taxes, i.e property taxes, SID fees mentioned above.
I’ve never owned before, I’m paying off my debts currently and want to go in with no debts and a decent credit score.
If we purchase the home for $300,000 to $320,000
What would my monthly cost be approx. including utilities, summer higher cost etc
