What is so great about America to you?

Kelly A asked:

For me: Cedar Point, the beautiful beaches, scenic rivers and mountains, las vegas, and N.A.S.A to name a few..

Forget the politics on this question.

Freedom - I hope that’s not too political.

I also love the mountains here in North Carolina, great water falls and beautiful Outer Banks.

    Why everything.

I have travelled the country quite extensively and visited many wonderful places - both natural and man made.

The thing is; every country in the world has beautiful beaches, mountains, rivers, forests, desertscapes etc.
Thriving and exciting cities are to be found all over the globe.

So to answer your question; America is great to me because of how it makes me feel when I’m there ~~
How at home I feel to look upon Mt Rushmore,
How comfortable I’m walking through Abe’s home in Springfield,
How at peace I am in Yellowstone National Park,
How right I feel on Galveston Island,
How insignificant I feel in the Rockys,
How in awe I feel looking into the Grand Canyon.

What is so great about America? - Being There.

America is a great country that was founded and built by immigrants from around the world. It truly is a melting pot. We are blessed to have freedom of speech, freedom of religion, and the ability to live our lives as we choose. If you take a look at other countries around the world, you will find that there are millions of people who are opressed, underfed undernourished, few have the luck of going to school or getting any kind of education and disease is widespread. We, as Americans, need to stop think about how fortunate how blessed we are to live in this beautiful country, where we have so many opportunities freedoms. I agree that we really are a beautiful country with great beaches, scenic mountains, solitude desserts, and a lot of resorts fun playgrounds. God Bless America.
