Las Vegas Retail Real Estate Convention

Las Vegas’s reputation as a booming real estate market and a great place to hold a convention converged this week, as more than 40,300 people descended on the 2005 International Council of Shopping Centers Spring Convention held in Las Vegas.

Retail real estate is booming like everything else in Las Vegas. As Americans prove over and over again that there is big money to be made in malls and shopping centers, people have become increasingly interested in retail real estate.

At the Las Vegas convention, the low supply and surging demand for retail real estate were cited as major factors behind the steep increase in property prices. Another trend in retail real estate is the increasing popularity of mixed-use developments, which combine residential and retail properties in one development.
